Dream Riders 4H group focuses on horsemanship, sportsmanship, safety and general horse knowledge. As a member of Dream Riders, children will experience community service programs, field trips, speakers, and many hands-on learning exercises. In addition to our monthly educational meetings we also hold several mounted meetings that focus on certain disciplines or areas of interest. As a part of Ottawa county 4H, we are lucky enough to take part in three different County Fairs each year. Visit our 2009 Fair page to see the girls having fun!
Dream Riders is also actively involved in fund raising activities and frequently hosts a food-booth at local shows / events. This not only gets the kids exposed to different show venues but also teaches them responsibility, money management, and networking skills.
You do not need to own a horse, or have any experience with horses to be a member, just come with a love of horses and a desire to learn. If you would like to own a horse, but don't want the commitment, consider leasing! Check out the great horses and ponies we have available on our Leasing page.
